| I assume the question relates to the error that can arise when reading an analogue indicating instrument. An analogue instrument relies upon a pointer overlying the graduation marks on the printed scale. Provided the meter is viewed perpendicular to the scale then the scale reading indicated should be read with the minimum of error. However, if viewed from an angle then the graduation mark being registered may be misread. This is known as parallax error. It can be quantified by inspection of the magnitude of the gradation increments and the viewing angles that could be used in practice. Instruments should be marked and positioned so as to minimise this error.
